Maybank Investment Bank Gives Back to Clients
Biggest and boldest promotional campaign ends with prizes worth RM800,000 for winners
Kuala Lumpur, 27 March 2015 – Maybank Investment Bank (Maybank IB) held a prize-giving ceremony today to conclude its biggest and boldest campaign to date with prizes worth over RM800,000. The campaign, which ran from 5 September to 31 December 2014, had clients vying for the Grand Prize of a Porsche Boxster valued at RM550,000, a second prize of an all-expenses paid trip to London worth RM100,000, a third prize of an IWC watch worth RM50,000 and 100 consolation prizes in the form of EzyInvest vouchers worth RM 1,000 each.
Maybank Group Head of Global Banking, Feisal Zahir who gave out the prizes at the ceremony said, “Without our clients, we would not have been awarded the Best Broker by four of the most prestigious publications in the industry; Alpha Southeast Asia, Finance Asia, the Asian Banker and The Asset Triple A. It is a recognition of the success we have achieved in building up our Equities franchise over the past three years to become ASEAN’s leading brokerage franchise and we had held this contest as a way of thanking our clients for their continuous support.”
The campaign was highly successful and had received overwhelming response. The winner of the Grand Prize Porsche Boxter is Muhammad Zhafran bin Ibrahim, a Maybank IB client since 2011. “I am over the moon at winning the Grand Prize. I had hoped I’d win but actually winning is truly amazing! It really pays to be a Maybank Investment Bank customer! ” said the elated 29 year-old.
Kuan Loy Ching, the second prize winner who has been a Maybank IB client for almost 19 years, is looking forward to her all-expenses paid trip to London. “I’m so excited! I would like to thank Maybank IB for this wonderful prize. It just reinforces my belief that I am trading with the best.” Apart from business class flight tickets and first class lodgings, the second prize winner will also be chauffeur-driven, and receiving spending money.
The winner of the third prize IWC watch is Sin Yong Lean, who has been trading with the investment bank since 2003.
Maybank IB’s campaign consisted of the Trade & Win Grand Prize Draw, a Zero Brokerage Fee promotion as well as a weekly Guess the Index contest which took place simultaneously and was designed to reward all segments of their clients.
